The Wellness Center at Windom Area Health offers a variety of health services including education classes, health assessments, corporate incentive programs promoting healthy behaviors, and memberships.

For additional information, choose an area below to learn more about our health and fitness services.

Periodic monitoring of cameras will occur to ensure Wellness Center rules are being followed. If not followed, permissions will be revoked for outside of staffed hours.

Membership Information

The Wellness Center at Windom Area Health offers a variety of membership opportunities including individual and family memberships, monthly and daily passes, and specialty classes.

Members must be at least 12 years of age. Memberships may be sold to younger dependents only with a physician's order. However, these memberships will be given at the discretion of the Wellness Center Supervisor.

Physician’s Release:

The Wellness Center recommends that all members consult with their personal physician before beginning any exercise program.

Personal Training at the Windom Area Health Wellness Center is ideal for clients ages 15+ who are interested in improved functional movement, weight loss, weight management, active aging, or strength training.

Here we have provided a 3x a week package that gives you the ultimate access to one-on-one training with our experienced coaches. If you are ready to be fitness-focused and want to achieve those goals you have set for yourself, the Platinum Package is for you!

Gold Package

Gold Package (2x a Week)

Whether looking for two full-body workout days or one upper and one lower body workout days, our coaches will optimize two days a week to work with you in achieving your goals. Going hard two times a week with your coach may be all you need to progress your fitness and health journey, and our coaches will surely make the most of your time!

Silver Package

Silver Package (1x a Week)

Sometimes all we need is knowing we have to show up at least one day of the week. Knowing your coach is counting on you is just the right amount of motivation to get you to workout the remaining days in the week so as to “impress” your coach on how well you can do on your own. Take advantage of the expertise our coaches have and use it to the fullest! Our coaches are a resource for you to use!

Bronze Package

Bronze Package (Written Workouts)

Maybe our staffed hours do not work with your schedule OR you feel confident to workout on your own, but would like guidance in what movements to do, what days to do them, how many times to do them, and how to progress towards reaching your goals. This package would be perfect for you! Let us know how many workouts you want in a week and an experienced coach will work to program customized workouts for your goals.

10-Session Package

Commit to 10 sessions with your coach. Invest in yourself and dedicate time to be set aside for your health and wellness journey. These 10 sessions can be spread out as much as you prefer while still under the guidance of your coach.

Single Session

Single Session

One-on-one personalized workouts with your coach. Try a single session to see if you like it! Give a single session a go just to get comfortable with the Wellness Center setup so you can optimize your workouts! Working together with your coach will keep you accountable to achieving your goals and set new ones to keep you challenged along your health and wellness journey!

Small Group Training (STG)

Working out is more fun with friends OR your significant other! Or full-body workouts designed to build strength and endurance, using the energy of a small group of people around you and the expertise of the coach will maximize your results. We’ve taken the personalized programming of a personal training session and combined it with the community aspect of group fitness! Max group size is six to maintain a safe and intimate setting for you to explore new exercises and ask any questions along the way!

Group exercise classes are a motivational alternative to exercising alone. A variety of classes are offered at the Wellness Center (see class descriptions below).

SAIL

SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) is an evidence-based balance, strength, and flexibility fitness program for older adults (65+) with a primary focus on fall prevention. The program is designed for any ability level and can be performed either standing or sitting.

Strength represents a full body workout utilizing a variety of different equipment.

Alive & Active

Alive & Active

Alive & Active focuses on strengthening muscles used for activities of daily living of adults 55+. This 45-minute class incorporates strength training through the use of hand weights, resistance bands, and coordination exercises targeted to strengthen muscles used during everyday activities.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a gentle, low-impact class designed for adults 55+ that focuses on improving flexibility, balance, posture, and overall mobility.

MMA Fit

MMA Fit is now being offered at the Wellness Center through Medina's Martial Arts. MMA Fit offers a full body, all-inclusive cross-fit class that meets the needs of any level of fitness. MMA Fit takes a multi-pronged approach to fitness by incorporating strength, endurance, and agility training into high intensity workouts guaranteed to produce results. Tae Kwon Do

Medina’s Martial Arts is offering Tae Kwon Do classes at Windom Area Health. Tae Kwon Do is not just for learning methods of self-defense it is also a great workout for all ages and fitness levels. Wellness Center Attendants

The Wellness Center is supervised during staffed hours by a Wellness Center Attendant who can assist members with questions regarding memberships or equipment.
