Temporary Rules

Park and enter at Main Hospital or Rehab/Wellness (Door B) Entrance to be Screened.

Masks are required to be worn to and from the studio - not required while working out.

Maintain a 6 foot distance from other members using the studio.

There will be no shared items at the Wellness Center (water cooler, magazines, hard to clean equipment, etc.)

Bring your own water bottle to use.

Extended Hours:

  • No appointments needed, but follow all safety rules in place (6 feet of distance and masks required).

  • To use the WC during these hours, a waiver must be signed at the screening station as there will be no Wellness staff present.

  • All Members arriving to work out between 6:00am-7:30am and 4:30pm-6:00pm have to enter the Main Hospital Entrance.

  • Evening Hours: Members MUST enter before 6:00pm to use facilities, and leave by 7:00pm.

Shower Guidelines

Signs indicating the shower's clean/dirty status are hung in the restrooms

Members will flip the sign after use to read 'dirty'

Members will sign an agreement stating he or she will not use shower if the sign reads 'dirty'

Showers will be cleaned by Environmental Services or Wellness staff

Wellness Center Exercise Classes

Group exercise classes are a motivational alternative to exercising alone. A variety of classes are offered at the Wellness Center (see class descriptions below).

Silver Sneakers

Attention Silver Sneakers Members: You have access to 200+ FREE workouts you can do at home a this time while in-person classes are on hold!  Head over to to check out the workouts today!  Members will need to verify their Silver Sneakers membership and provide an email address before gaining access to the workout library.

Silver Sneakers, recommended for ages 55 and older, is designed for those intimidated by other exercise classes and focuses on strengthening muscles used for activities of daily living. This 60-minute class incorporates strength training through the use of hand weights, resistance bands, and coordination exercises targeted to help you feel fit, poised and confident

Fit for Life

This class is for people who are new to working out or for active older adults who need a refresher on working out properly. During class, there will be a focus on functional movements and fall prevention.

Fit Row

Join the newest fitness craze! Fit Row classes are 30 minutes in length and work your total body; legs, core, arms and back. Rotations of rowing and circuits make up this low impact class. This class is limited to 9 rowers and runs for a 6-week session. Additional charges apply: $60 for members, $72 for non-members.

Power Row

Power Row classes are 45 minutes in length and work your total body; legs, core, arms and back. Rotations of rowing and full-body circuits make up this low impact class. Additional charges apply: $5 per session for members and $6 per session for non-members.

Gentle Yoga

This class is perfect for those people looking to improve their flexibility and balance in a gentle flowing relaxed class.

Boot Camp

Six weeks of overall body transformation! Target areas and benefits include: strengthened core, upper and lower body, increased metabolism at rest and mood booster. Come and pump up the jam in the mornings and feel great all day! Class size is limited and additional fees apply. Additional charges apply: $40 for members and $60 for non-members.


Have fun while getting into shape with our Zumba class! It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward health joy and health.

Strong by Zumba

STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to music that is designed to match each move done in class. You will burn calories while toning your arms, legs, abs and glutes.


This class utilizes dumbbells, body weight exercises, kettle bells, TRX and resistance bands to provide a full-body workout. Participants are encouraged to use different size weights depending on their goals.

MMA Fit is now being offered at the Wellness Center through Medina's Martial Arts. MMA Fit offers a full body, all-inclusive cross-fit class that meets the needs of any level of fitness. MMA Fit takes a multi-pronged approach to fitness by incorporating strength, endurance, and agility training into high intensity workouts guaranteed to produce results. Tae Kwon Do

Medina’s Martial Arts is offering Tae Kwon Do classes at Windom Area Health. Tae Kwon Do is not just for learning methods of self-defense it is also a great workout for all ages and fitness levels. The Wellness Center at Windom Area Health offers a variety of services to meet the needs of our members.

Fitness Specialist

The Wellness Center is supervised by a trained fitness specialist to assist all members with their workout. Please ask for assistance if needed.


High-quality fitness equipment is available at the Wellness Center for member’s use, including 3 Nu-Step® steppers, 1 exercise bike, 3 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, 1 Sci-Fit, 1 full body cable machine, 1 power rack, rowing machines, exercise balls, strength free weights and bands.

Wellness Center Hours

Members have access to the Wellness Center via a key fob from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.

After hours, members may use their key fob to access Door B (Rehabilitation/Wellness Entrance) to get into Windom Area Health to access the Wellness Center.

Wellness Center Membership Information

The Wellness Center at Windom Area Health offers a variety of membership opportunities including individual and family memberships, monthly and daily passes, 10 session punch cards, and specialty classes.

Members must be 12 years of age. Memberships may be sold to younger dependents with a physician's order for medical conditions, therapeutic needs or a predisposition for obesity.  However, these memberships will be given at the discretion of the Manager.

Physician’s Release:

The Wellness Center recommends that all members consult with their personal physician before beginning an exercise program.
