Dr. Norell is trained to adjust manually, in an HVLA (High Velocity-Low Amplitude) style. If you prefer to be adjusted in another way, please let that be known to Dr. Norell, as she can also offer adjustments with the activator, arthrostim, and drop techniques.

Note: Infant and children adjustments are modified to be appropriate for the size and age of the infant or child. Both infant and child adjustments are very gentle, but infant adjustments are especially light and usually do not involve more pressure than that of what you would use to check the ripeness of an avocado or tomato. Activator adjustments can and are used for children who may be apprehensive or prefer to be adjusted this way versus manual adjustments.

Prenatal patients are adjusted in the Webster technique, which is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment technique used to aid in alignment and proper biomechanics of the pelvis. The technique is gentle and has a muscle, bone, and ligament component.

Ultrasound is a therapy that uses sound waves to treat injuries like ankle sprains, muscle strains, and other musculoskeletal injuries by reducing inflammation, promoting healing in soft tissues by increasing blood flow and cellular activity.

This therapy is a type of myofascial release which involves facilitating healing through increasing blood circulation to the muscles and tissues. By increasing blood flow to the area this can be beneficial for relieving or reducing muscle spasms, tension, and promoting cellular repair. Cupping therapy is great for various musculoskeletal injuries, pain management, hypertonic muscles, muscle spasms, and promoting relaxation and well-being.

Celluma light therapy is a type of low-level light therapy that applies a variety of wavelengths (Blue, Red, and Near Infrared wavelengths of light) to tissues in the affected area to obtain therapeutic benefits. The energy from the light is used to improve cellular performance. Light therapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields.

Celluma Light Therapy is FDA approved to treat pain, acne, and wrinkles and the technology embedded in Celluma was developed by NASA. Common conditions the Celluma light therapy is helpful for is various strains or sprains, tendonitis, joint pain, and shin splints to name a few.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tension, relieves pain, reduces dysfunction, and improves whole-body health and performance. This is a great technique for infants because it only involves very light touch to evaluate the craniosacral system.
