Mental Health Services
Clinical Consultations
When a person who is ill or believes themselves to be ill seeks the advice of a doctor that they trust, having a mental health professional to send them to can make all the difference. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. When life leaves you feeling overwhelmed, Windom Area Health is here to help you cope.
Prescribing and Medication Management
Medication Management is an outpatient treatment system used by doctors and pharmacies to ensure that patients are receiving optimal therapeutic outcomes for the prescription medications that they may be taking with ongoing medical monitoring/evaluation.
Psychiatric Evaluations
A psychiatric evaluation, in its simplest terms, an evaluation designed to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental conditions or disorders. The initial evaluation will explore many aspects including developmental history, medical history, family history, social and environmental influences, academic/work concerns, and emotional and cognitive (thinking) strengths and weaknesses.
Individual and Family Psychotherapy
Individual and family psychotherapy is individualized treatment to target each patient’s identified mental health needs. Together with your provider, patients will develop treatment goals to improve mental wellness. Our providers are trained and experienced in multiple evidence-based interventions to treat a broad array of mental health conditions. Needs will be identified through a diagnostic evaluation, with consideration of personal, social, historical, and environmental factors contributing to the individual’s functioning.
