Windom, MN – Windom Area Health Foundation is proud to award $18,000 to nine students pursuing careers in healthcare. The winners of $2,500 awards were Angela Rodriguez, Jackson Joyce, Matthew Schmit, Haidyn Sammons, Lilyanna Meyer, and Regan Christians. Winners of $1,000 awards were Tristyn Maras, Devyn Rempel, and Allison Negen—all previous scholarship winners.
To be eligible for the scholarships, students must be in high school and college-bound, or current students, pursuing a career in healthcare. Scholarships were awarded based on the student’s academic merit, leadership, integrity, community service, and commitment to their course of study, with a strong likelihood of returning to Windom or local rural area.
Applications were reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Windom Area Health Foundation. Scholarships are made possible by generous donors who are passionate about our future healthcare workforce and who want to honor the legacy of a loved one. While the 2026 round is closed, the Foundation plans to offer scholarships in future years.
