Caught You Caring:

Employee of the Quarter: Leah Bussa

Leah Bussa

Leah Bussa, Specialty Clinics Coordinator, has been named Windom Area Health’s employee of the quarter for Quarter 2, 2023! Leah has been with WAH since 2010 and is an integral part of our team. Leah is the backbone of the Specialty Clinics. As one person put it, “Wow, she knows her stuff!”

She is an expert coordinator, and does an exceptional job juggling all the pieces of the puzzle when setting up procedures and the various schedules to keep everything running smoothly. She works with integrity and never drops the ball. Leah is excellent at customer care and always puts the patient first. Leah is a great team player and steps up to offer support to co-workers and other departments when she can. Despite the increase in services, her ability to make things look easy is impeccable. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

Here are some shout outs from the past year:

“I want to acknowledge Leah for all her work she does behind the scenes with scheduling our ortho surgeries! This past week, she went above and beyond to keep our schedule full even with constant cancelations and rescheduling. I see the time and patience you put in with calling OFC and the patients and I want to thank you!!”

“I caught Leah caring by her professionalism and dedication to her job. While going through a difficult time, it did not go unnoticed. Leah shows the values of excellence, teamwork, and stewardship on a daily basis. Especially at this time, she has shown and inspired us with great courage and integrity.”

Thanks for all you do, Leah!
