Celebrating National Rural Health Day

Celebrating National Rural Health Day

This week Windom Area Health is celebrating National Rural Health Day on November 16th, 2023. It serves as a reminder of the positive impact rural healthcare has on so many across the United States. Rural America, where millions choose to live and work, offers a beautiful, yet challenging landscape; and we are proud to be a part of it.

Today more than ever, rural communities like ours must address accessibility issues, a lack of healthcare providers, the needs of an aging population, and larger percentages of uninsured and underinsured residents.

Windom Area Health is committed to addressing these challenges for years to come as your local, independent healthcare provider of choice. I want to take this opportunity to thank the community for your support in the expansion project. Over the next 18-24 months, you will see a state-of-the-art building take shape that will provide for the health of our community and region for years to come. This is not just needed space for the hospital, it is an investment in you, your family, our schools, businesses, and other local and regional community partners. It is an investment in the health of rural America.

On November 16th, celebrate National Rural Health Day with us by thanking a healthcare worker and supporting your rural healthcare by scheduling your exams locally.
