Taking measures to protect our patients and staff
The Windom Area Hospital takes pride in ensuring our patients and staff are safe 24/7. Recently, more secure doors surrounding the patient care area and Emergency Department were added, which are staff accessible by keycard only. The secured doors a will alarm if tried to be opened without an authorized card. Â Visitors can access the hospital after hours:
- Through the Emergency Entrance for the ER, or for inpatient visitors after 8 p.m.
- Through the main entrance until 8 p.m.
- Through the Rehabilitation Doors to access the Fitness Center until 11 p.m.
Once inside the hospital, visitors will have restricted access to patient care areas. Those visiting patients will need to check in with the nurses station.
