Dr. Laura Grigereit is a general surgeon. In her clinical practice, she treats the full spectrum of surgical diseases and conditions including hernias, gallbladder disease, breast disease, gastrointestinal and colorectal conditions, skin and soft tissue disease, trauma and emergency general surgery. Dr. Grigereit is trained in surgical techniques including robotic surgery, laparoscopy, endoscopy, emergency general surgery and trauma. She is passionate about improving the clinical and surgical experience of her community by treating a broad spectrum of diseases while emphasizing the importance of trust and shared decision making with her patients. She is committed to enhancing access to and improving outcomes in rural healthcare.

Dr. Grigereit graduated from Yale University with a degree in Humanities, worked at the National Institutes of Health conducting neuroplasticity research and earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado with research focused on the development of chemical senses in the airways and gut. She completed residency training in general surgery at Michigan State University.  In her free time Dr. Grigereit enjoys hosting friends and family, gardening, social dance, and outdoor activities such as running and swimming.
