Karen received her undergraduate degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. She then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, MN. Her background also includes valuable work experiences in acute care, long-term care, the teaching environment, general surgery, orthopedics and urgent care. She enjoys running, biking, kayaking, weight lifting and reading.
