James Hinshaw, MD

James Hinshaw, MD

James Hinshaw, M.D. is a board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita. In the eight years he spent at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Dr. Hinshaw gained extensive experience, and exclusive use in the region, of the Da Vinci robotic surgical platform, which Windom Area Health is now pioneering.

His belief in this technology led him to Windom Area Health, in part because of a shared vision. Further, he looks forward to sharing his expertise with our team of local physicians who have been striving to provide quality care to women of all ages.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hinshaw is a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves, and is often found riding his motorcycle or practicing martial arts, including aikido and karate. He and his wife, Debbie, are delighted to move to the area and contribute in any way possible to the growth of Windom medical care.
