Fall has arrived which means the annual Windom Area Hospital Auxiliary Fall Festival is approaching! The Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, September 24th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 1157 3rd Avenue, Windom.
Fall Festival attendees will find the basement at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior adorned with garden produce, homemade baked goods, and “white elephant” items. The Festival will also feature two raffles; one for three prizes of $50.00 in Windom Chamber Bucks and another for an hand-crafted afghan. Raffle tickets will be on sale for $1.00 per chance.
One of the main highlights of the Fall Festival is the popular silent auction of themed baskets, which are donated by Windom Area Hospital employees. Some featured baskets this year include: Weekend Getaway, John Deere, Winnie the Pooh, DoTerra items, Holidays, fall themes and more!!!
The baskets are available for viewing at Windom Area Hospital during the month of September. Bids will be accepted at the hospital for the week prior to the event. In-person bids will continue to be accepted on Fall Festival Saturday. Winners of the baskets will be contacted after the festival for basket pick-up and payment.
No festival would be complete without food! The Auxiliary concession stand will be selling coffee, juice, pastries and other
baked goods in the morning. Lunch will feature the Auxiliary’s famous hot turkey sandwich on a bun, as well as pie!
The Fall Festival is the primary fundraiser for the Windom Area Hospital Auxiliary. Proceeds from this year’s 39th annual Festival will go towards the equipment purchases needed for the orthopedic program at the hospital, with the goal of performing total joint replacements by May, 2017. Previous Fall Festivals have helped in other hospital equipment purchases such as wall beds, a baby warmer, newborn hearing equipment, a cataract chair, and many others totaling over $200,000 since 1974!
Please join us at the Fall Festival and enjoy a fun-filled day while supporting our local Auxiliary!
