There’s some new changes in our Imaging Department! We recently upgraded our CT scanner to further the quality care we provide. The new Siemens Healthineers 128-slice CT scanner represents a major advancement over Windom Area Health’s previous 2011 model, delivering significantly improved image quality, faster scan times, and reduced radiation exposure for patients. The enhanced technology allows for more accurate diagnoses, quicker image processing, and improved efficiency in emergency, trauma, stroke, and neurological care, where rapid decision-making is critical. The scanner also offers a better patient experience through faster exams, a wider design, higher weight capacity, and automated positioning features that improve comfort and image accuracy. By reducing delays and supporting high-quality care, the new CT scanner will help improve patient outcomes while expanding diagnostic capabilities for the community.
