Marc Fernandez, MD, FACS, is a seasoned General Surgeon with a passion for patients and surgical advancements. During his medical rotations at the University of South Florida in Tampa, he discovered his love for surgery. Following his medical training, Dr. Fernandez moved to Inverness, FL with Heather, his wife, where he has dedicated 26 years to providing patient-centered healthcare.

His experience includes serving for 10 years as Chief of Surgery and spearheading the implementation of a robotics program at two hospitals. His belief in innovative surgical techniques led Dr. Fernandez to Windom Area Health where he looks forward to using his expertise to develop our robotic-assisted surgery program and serve patients of all ages.

Outside of the clinic and surgery center, Dr. Fernandez likes offshore and deep-sea fishing, traveling with his wife of 33 years, hunting, and working in his yard.
