Windom, MN – The Windom Area Health Foundation was established in 2002 with a mission of providing charitable support for the medical and educational programs of Windom Area Health, apart from normal operating expenses. In keeping with this mission, the Windom Area Health Foundation will once again be offering several $1,000 continuing education scholarships to local students who are interested in pursuing a career in a healthcare field.
Scholarships will be awarded based on leadership, character, integrity, community service, and a commitment to following a course of study relevant to healthcare. Students must have a GPA of 3.0, OR be officially accepted into a healthcare program in order to be eligible for the scholarships. Recipients may apply for scholarships in subsequent years, as the foundation intends to continue the program in the future.
We are once again partnering with the Sanford Health Network for an additional scholarship opportunity. A recipient of the Windom Area Health Foundation scholarship will have their application forwarded on to Sanford Health for consideration for an additional $1,000 scholarship.
Students who are selected for the scholarships will be asked to submit a photograph for use in future newsletters and marketing materials.
Online applications are open in February and close in early April every year. To fill out your scholarship application, please follow the steps below:
