Windom Area Hospital Foundation recently awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to local students. These students have a 3.0 GPA or higher and are attended higher education in a healthcare field. The applicants were assessed based on their community involvement, essay, references and ties to the community.
The Windom Area Hospital Foundation has awarded $60,000 in scholarships since 2007, to over 40 local students. This has been made possible by community donations and foundation fundraising efforts like the waffle brunch and walking tacos.
