SUMMARY:Vickie Schendel Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:The Vickie Schendel Fun Run returns in its COLOR form for the 3rd year! \nThe event will once again be held in conjunction with Windom’s Riverfest on Saturday\, June 10th at Tegal Park at Cottonwood Lake and is created with family-centered events in mind. During the Color Run participants will get colored at each K\, getting colored up to 5 times throughout the 5K and will end with a color party at the close of the events. Entrants may choose from four events that are open to people of all ages and ability\, including the 5K Run\, 5K Walk\, 1-Mile Run and 1-Mile Walk. These events feature a flat\, looped route around our Cottonwood Lake/Tegels Park area. New in 2017\, Registration will be based on age only\, not by event. \nThe Fun Run is a fundraiser for the Vickie Schendel Memorial Fund of the Windom Area Hospital Foundation. Vickie was a Nurse Practitioner at Hartberg Medical Clinic and a member of Windom Area Hospital’s medical staff. She lost her battle with cancer in 1997.
