DESCRIPTION:Windom Law Enforcement/EMS and the Windom Fire Department will once again be competing to see who can recruit the most blood donors for the community’s blood supply in the 13th annual “Heroes Behind the Badges” community blood drive. \nThe drive will be held on Monday\, September 10th from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Windom Area Hospital.  Community Blood Bank’s bloodmobile will be on-site to take the donations near the main entrance. Each donor designates their donation to the ‘team’ of their choice!

DESCRIPTION:Support your community and local breast health! The annual Tammy Hall Breast Health Walk is on October 6\, 2018\, with 5k and 1-mile walk options are available. Proceeds go to the Windom Area Hospital Foundation’s Women’s Health Fund\, which provides community education and financial support to patients undergoing cancer or breast health treatments. Past walks have helped fund the purchase of digital mammography equipment for the Windom Area Hospital and several donations to support local breast health patients. Your event fee covers the walk\, a long-sleeve event shirt and brunch at Jack Slades. Other opportunities to support the event include raffle ticket sales and prize drawing tickets at brunch. Returning in 2018 – Dress in your CRAZIEST pink outfit\, face paint\, tutus\, etc.! Winners of the best PINK PRIDE will be awarded a prize at the program. In 2014 the walk was renamed to honor co-founder\, Tammy Hall\, who passed away from breast cancer in January 2014. Tammy’s dedication and energy will never be forgotten!
