DESCRIPTION:The Parkinson’s Support Group Meets monthly – Every 2nd Tuesday from September – June. \n2:00 p.m. at the Windom Area Hospital \nLarge Conference Room (enter through Rehab Entrance) \nOur informal group is a great resource for those recently diagnosed\, to long time survivors\, to anyone in between! Caregivers are also welcome to come alone or with their loved one. \nHospital staff facilitate the group and arrange for speakers on topics the group is interested in. Topics have included: exercise\, advanced directives\, nutrition\, adaptable equipment\, medications for Parkinson’s\, and more. Join us for a large silent auction including tickets two tickets to the Minnesota Twins\, Champions Club Seating (Valued at $400\, donated by Staples Oil)\, four tickets to the Minnesota Wild (Valued at $436\, donated by LaCanne Family Funeral Home)\, a signed puck and poster by Chris Stewart of the Minnesota Wild and many\, many items donated from local retailers! A “Shoot for Cash” Challenge will be presented with a chance to win a $50 Hy-Vee gift card. Pink ribbon stocking hats and “Rock the Rink Pink stadium blankets will also be sold.
