SUMMARY:Boxing Out Cancer at Windom Basketball Double Header
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, January 21st at the Windom Area High School for a night honoring those impacted by cancer and raising awareness of the cancer support options at Windom Area Health! Donations during the night will go toward the Women’s Health Fund. The Girls Game starts at 6:00pm and Boys at 7:30pm.\n\nEveryone is encouraged to wear pink to show support!\n\nThere will also be tables set up with information on various cancer support services\, 3D mammography\, and more! Pink merchandise will be available to purchase\, with all proceeds going to the Women’s Heath Fund.\n\nThe Women’s Health Fund\, originally the Breast Health Fund\, supports local women undergoing cancer treatments who have an unmet financial need. DESCRIPTION:This is a 3-week program (6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings) covering labor and delivery patterns\, possible unexpected outcomes\, pain management techniques\, breastfeeding\, the importance of nutrition and exercise\, and tips on caring for a newborn.\n\n\nThe Prenatal Education Series is taught by a Registered Nurse who has been educated through the Sanford Prenatal Center. The series educates parents on what to expect during the birthing experience and how to care for a child. Classes cover a variety of topics including nutrition\, stages of labor\, breathing techniques\, cesarean births\, birthing complications\, breastfeeding\, the importance of exercise\, a tour of the Birth Place\, and basic safety and child care issues.
